blanc canvas® Limited was founded in 2004 by Managing Director, Andrew Ainge. Based in Guiseley, West Yorkshire, blanc canvas® Limited is a global brand which specialises in innovative print and digital media technologies.
blanc canvas® was developed following the success of Andrew’s first venture, MetalFX® Technology. MetalFX® Technology is a Universal Process and Spot Metallic Colour System that allows millions of metallic colours to be printed, all by adding only the one MetalFX® base silver ink to the usual CMYK colour mix. MetalFX® Technology achieved instant, worldwide success and the company continues to expand into new countries and markets.
Continuing this ethic of enterprise and innovation, blanc canvas® explores new and exciting print and digital media channels.
In the beginning, Andrew developed a media called tex2ure ® - a self-adhesive fabric based wall covering media that is waterproof and rip proof. The material was marketed both to consumers as a wall covering material and to trade professionals as a signage media.
The combination of tex2ure ® media and advanced digital image manipulation resulted in the creation of blanc wall® - bespoke, large format wall coverings.
In addition to these core products, blanc canvas® has recently unveiled the metallurgy® fine art metal range - metal sheets which can be used in ink jet printers. Full colour, giclée fine art and photography can be printed direct onto the metal sheets creating striking effects.
Completing the suite of products is slapstyk® - high quality posters and cut-out characters made using tex2ure® and YouFrame® - a do-it-yourself box frame system complete with frame and consumable canvas.
